jet 1642 variable speed lathe 1.5 hp and all lathe tools and accessories Sold

I am believing that us Boomers and Gen X got involved in a hobby that few Millennials and Gen Z are interested in. Thank you Norm??? I also believe that when I am no longer able to use my tools and wish to sell them, the market will be flooded. My plan is to find someone or some organization worthy and donate them. In the meantime, I will try to entice some nephews/nieces into the hobby and be potential candidates for the gift.

I now am not going to have a funeral, I used to joke that Lou would post the time of the funeral at 11 am and then the farm contents sale at 1 pm sharp! I am guilty of not having a concrete plan in place. We have a will that lays out the big stuff. Who knows what will happen to our stuff. I have a turning tool from a past member, have a lathe from a past member that Jay and Larry made possible. I am to busy living, kids can have what they want when I am gone.

only because I have two adult children, I can say with confidence that neither of them have any time for such a time consuming hobby.
just like me when I was their age, time was precious and spare time to indulge in a hobby was difficult to find.

I didnt own any tools besides a hammer, some screwdrivers, electric drill and a 19 dollar circular saw most of my life until 2006,

I cant tell you how many times my cousins from houston or family from florida come here and take home 2 or 3 dozen bagels, and I have to take them out at least once for just ny pizza.
my friend dave in chicago keeps telling us ny pizza doesnt come close to chicago pizza and took us to lou manottis? dont recall spelling for deep dish, and we also went to the other famous chain out there, dont recall the name, there are like 3 or 4 chain deep dish. it was great, but I still prefer ny style pizza.just hit me, maybe called giordanos? we were in des plaines near ohare airport(only because rivers casino was a minute away from our hotel) and we stopped at giordanos....its a 45 minute wait for deep dish, I didnt know, had no clue.

It was picked up exactly as promised
The purchaser was from western ny state
A minister or pastor

He is a pen turner but someone he knows has the same lathe and he wants to turn bowls

And now I'll spend a couple of weeks redoing the entire shop

Big space opened up
Might build another small assembly utility table

I use peg board only because I have more peg hooks than Macy's and toys r us had together

My wife's friend who's husband passed and she wanted me to take his clamps
He has a lathe and I offered to sell it for her so I'll see what she says

Nice having filled but unused space open up again, been playing that shuffle game every time I get the garage organized, I bring in more stuff from storage and clutter it up again. ;)
