please read entire ad before asking questions as I think I will post all info needed.

this is an as is sale. everything is used gently. THERE WILL BE no breaking of this package. its everything included, and if you dont want some items, great, Ill donate them but the price is still the same.
this is a CASH only sale. no credit cards, no personal checks, no bank checks, no money orders, no zelle, no paypal, its only ;green american dollars, please do not ask, this is not negotiable, NOR is the price.

this item is heavy, the tail stock, headstock, and tool rest all come off bed, the bed detaches from legs, so a strong person can get it into his vehicle. I can assist a bit, and I have a rolling table to move parts, or you can back you car right up to the shop entrance. bring shipping blankets or cardboard or whatever you want if you dont want to damage your car, like I said, its heavy.

I live in Valley stream NY. that is 5 hours from boston, 4.5 hours from washington DC, 6 hours from ohio, and I am flexible with pick up as I will try my best to accomodate you. I prefer doing it during daylight hours, but will try to work with you.

I live 4 minutes south east of the green acres mall in valley stream. I will not send out my personal info until you are ready to come and get it. Ive met 30 people from this site, and those that have met me know Im totally legit, not trying to hide anything, just trying to protect myself from internet trolls and buttwipes.

before you read on, please remember, its cash only, I will not budge on that, and nothing will be removed from shop until I have all of 1800 dollars in my hand. I will hold item for you up to a month or so as long as you come and give me a 500 dollar deposit which I will keep after 60 days if you dont show up. I understand someone might need a friend or relative with a large enough vehicle.

Im offering it here first, at what I consider a great price. if I dont sell it here, I will move to other venues and tack on a few hundred more. as usual, if anyone feels my price is unfair or not that good, please post here and let me know why.

included with lathe, and I wont be mentioning everything, pics show most of it, and anything else I find will be included
easy wood tools, 3 full sized tools, shaper, rougher and the diamond shaped point, there are 2 new blades still in package and the shaper blade went on 2 days ago to finish my recent bowl, so there are 3 new blades, and included a couple of old ones.
one thompson 1/2 inch bowl gauge with 20 inch handle, and a cherry handle I made for it for fun

loads of pen blanks, some I paid for, some I cut down, spalted maple, olive, acrylic, and a boatload of hardwood, zebra wood, maple, walknut, cherry, alot I have no clue. there are around 15 or so blanks I paid for.
alot of wine bottle stopper blanks, more if you want them, there are 14 colored plywood blanks for stoppers also

there are approx (didnt count sorry), 10 new pen kits, nothing expensive, 4 or 5 slimline, executive, dont recall the other, and one led flashlight kit, one peppermill kit, 4 bottle stoppers

I have a entire bin full of broken up pen kits, mostly due to bad turning by me and I ran out of tubes. but I do have alot of 7mm tubes, some 10 mm tubes and maybe some other size.
alot of the kits all they need is a tube, like a seam ripper, there is also on xmas ornament kit in there.

pen madrel, b ottle stopper chucks, one from niles one from penn state I believe

super nova 2 chuck with cole jaw set

a couple of chucks, a drill chuck, forgot what else, its in pics

different tool rest one is curved, face plate ofcourse also

some sanding for pens, micro mesh sanding pads, some pen wax, oh, and I have some CA glue accelerator in house not in pic. like I said, there might be more stuff laying around here I will find them and include it

there is also one set of windsor chisels(8 set) and a small set of 3 chisels, cheap ones.

there are other things, I threw in, you can see in pics.

I have more blanks and alot of 3/4 by 3/4 inch sticks if you feel you want more pen blanks and more blocks for bottle stoppers.

there are at least 10 differsnt set of bushings to make pens and other items.i included a variety of drill bits specifically needed for all different pen kits and other kits.

please look at pics, its all part of the package, and like I said, if you dont want bits or blanks or whatever, you dont need to take them but the price is 1800 firm. no tipping necessary.

and lastly, if you come around lunch time or dinnertime, I will take you out to dinner, as long as you are not a psycho or maniac and Im not babysitting.

i dont have the tool basket or wire protector whatever its called hooked up, I had to dig them up , never used them.

to board moderators, if there is something incorrect about this ad please notify me, I think its listed properly. Im just trying to be thorough with no misunderstandings. I dont want someone to drive 300 m,iles and then say, oh, you wont take paypal?

the bed is in great shape, I clean it and wax it . there is a stain or two because Ive used the lathe mainly as a stand and while staining or finishing other items, something spilled, but Im sure it can be scrubbed off.
the magnets with calender and grandson are not included I forgot to take them off before pic.

I was going for approx 40-50 percent of what would cost new. well over 4 grand if everything was purchased new. and I threw in dinner or lunch. I understand how tuff it is to sell used equipment once you approach 2 grand.

On a side note, you had so much fun making the pens, bowls, segmented bowls etc on it...why are you selling? Always keep turning!

My interest in turning is fading
I turned the gnomes and segmented bowls to use up years and years of small and narrow sticks of hardwood instead of making boards
I asked my son and son in law and they have no interest in lathe but would happily take any handheld tools I felt I didn't need

I will eventually move my drum sander into shop once lathe is gone and I open up that back wall
Getting drum sander in and out of shed is too strenuous for me these days and I hate having to get help whenever I need it or have to put it bsck

Very nice lineup of tools and lathe. In today's world, very generous offer of a complete outfit for less than the lathe itself costs. It is all the little accessories for turning that add up and you are selling everything for less than that lathe is worth. It should sell very quickly!

Yeah I forgot to add that I have approx 12 clear plastic rectangle gift boxes for pens which ran 1 bucks each and I think 6 or 7 clear round plastic gift boxes for bottle stoppers which are around 1.25 each also
I have to keep looking might have other stuff
It's spread in different places as I'm trying to get it all in one spot for eventual pick up

20 pen tube boxes actually and 6 bottle stopper tubes and a small spray also of ca glue accelerator

and I forgot I also have a pen vise to drill out blanks

Looks like a really good deal for someone. I’ve sold 2 lathes and ended up buying one again, all have been the same craftsman style that has the round post bed. I haven’t used it in several years again, like 8 or so. Last use was for the high chairs I made for the grandson. Hope you find a taker.

I know there are woodturner or woodworker guilds or clubs close to me and more upstate ny
Eventually I'll look into getting an ad somewhere if no takers here

Wish you were closer, that is a pretty good deal with all the accessories..... I've used a friend's 1642 and loved it... my Jet is a 1442 with a Reeves unit and a PIA some times.... I wouldn't need the pen stuff as I quit doing pens years ago, but my stepson is doing them in my shop, until he goes back to work... which I hope will be soon.
My friend quit turning due to some health issues and sold his stuff, but my son bought his lathe and took it back to Georgia.
I'm reaching an age where I'm not sure how much longer I will be turning... probably a couple or three years or so.

That is a very good deal. Someone is going to be a happy camper. This is the same lathe I have in Indiana and would make a nice addition to the shop in Wisconsin. Wish you weren't 1200 miles away.

I am not interested, but I did try turning. I just never slipped on that slope. I did compile a bunch of stuff. I just don't see myself getting into it. Your post makes me think I should get it all together and sell it.

One is in Buffalo ny region and has to figure out when he can get here
Second is further in western pa but doesn't drive so he has to figure out if and when son can drive him here
