Stacking Boxes for Print/Paper Storage

I did a quick model for someone who was looking for ideas for something simple to build for storing his large format drawings. His original idea was to make boxes with hinged lids that would stack. I did this design so he wouldn't have to shift boxes to get into ones lower down.




Evidently he was so wedded to the idea of the lidded boxes he rejected this. Oh well.

He's going to hate having to lift the boxes to get to the ones on the bottom. Your design is much more practical.

For centuries design offices have had plan chests for just this purpose, (your solution basis) I guess there is always someone who knows better, is he by any chance an up and coming new broom young manager ?
