Derek Hilland has been a good friend for years. He's the brother of one of my best friends, Heidi. (She's the wife of my former bandmate Steve, who I've known since the '70s and toured with in the '80s.) Steve's a good keyboardist, but his brother-in-law Derek is several levels above him. Derek has played and toured with a variety of bands, including Rick Springfield, Ronnie James Dio, Iron Butterfly, and Foreigner. Derek recently got a new gig touring with REO Speedwagon and he posted a few pics on Facebook today. Figured I'd share some here. If you get a chance to see this tour, I highly recommend it.
