Very cool. I just take mine out to a spot in the desert and dump it and the wind does the rest, lol.

Sellers does mostly hand tool woodworking so I'm guessing that was largely hand plane shavings (some other stuff sure, but for bulk... probably mostly plane shavings). I'd expect that to be a heck of a lot more compressible than most other shavings/woodshop waste, except maybe some lathe shavings and perhaps some planer shavings might get close ish. Certainly might be worth trying it if I had a lot of planer shavings.
