I did the finial yesterday and it's ready for pickup. If only I had a vacuum table large enough to accommodate this size of painting. I did my best. The picture on the right is the painting after a cleaning and minor repairs 15 years ago.

being a tiny bit artistic i know a tiny bit about matching colors and blending it together. You are a master sir. getting the ripped damage together is yet another masterful job. not even noticable. again you are a master sir. wow
I have none of the skills you describe. I can name the colors in the box with eight crayons. I grew up poor and only ever got the box with eight crayons. I know some of ya'll artistic types got the box with 128 crayons so that's why you can match colors and blend and all that other artsy fartsy stuff. :p:p:p:p:p

Never had the 128 , had the 64 once. I do remember 2nd or 3rd grade I boxed out a piece of paper with all different shades of green. Mom kept that. The art teacher told my parents I had a special gift. Mom told her we didn't have that kind of money to send me to a special school.
My mentor in college Alan March recognized my talent and took me under his wing to teach me conservation for 5 years. The rest is history.

You know I am pulling your leg. Dave. I think you are a remarkable talent and even if I did get the box with 128 crayons I would never have your skills and talent.
