Got a new toy today!
It's so much better than a standard rotary tool. It's 1200W. 500-30000 rpm, and reversible. Beautiful heavy-duty 5/32" flex shaft. (came with an extra one too) it's so comfortable to use and maneuverable. I love this thing so far!

I have on just like it. Only thing I don't like about mine is the foot pedal for speed control. I can not keep a steady speed especially slow speed. Thinking of building a box to put the foot pedal in with a knob to turn to adjust the speed. Other than that mine works great.

I picked up a used Foredom knock-off (Woodworker's Supply house brand) at an estate sale a few years back but still haven't really had a need for it yet.

I just got it today and it's working great. I don't care for the foot control either. I'm assuming just about any AC motor speed control should work. They're not very expensive. I might give one a try.

Looks like a nice rotary, I’m sure it’s quieter and less vibration than the hand held versions for sure

I just discussed this with a friend this afternoon and he said he bought one of these for such an application and it has worked great.

I am not recommending, but for $18 I am tempted to try it, Only concern is the amps.
