I have been housebound for three weeks and I am going crazy. I finally decided that I would catch up on some of photo work on pieces I have turned.

These two photos are of items patterned by Japanese inspired cups. The set of cups shown for each timber were turned consecutively from one stick of wood.

The first group was turned from Santos rosewood which is not a true rosewood but is quite lovely to turn. These little cups are all about 2 1/2" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter.

This grouping was turned from a single stick of Panama cocobolo which I don't believe is a different variety although in general I find it to be more orange than cocobolo from Mexico. The short one is 2" tall and the other two are 2 1/8" tall. All are 2 1/2" in diameter.

Both of these woods sure do polish up nicely.
