Music to Sand By

Sorry, this is a bit flippant but intended to start some fun conversation. This thread will be semi-meaningless if your musical taste does not include northern European metal bands.

I have just decided that Tarot is one of my favorite bands to sand to . . . specifically the song Wings of Darkness. I can get through a lot of sanding in a short time listening to these guys.

Others that work for me are Pink Cream 69, King's X . . . oh let's face it; I like almost anything

@Ryan Mooney - Thanks for the tip on Sabaton. I was unfamiliar with them. I never cease to be surprised that even with the amount of music I listen to I will run into someone who has been around for years that I have never heard of . I have a "channel" called Junior High that is loaded with '60s stuff. I find classical is great for detailed joinery tasks. Sometimes I do an '80s flashback day and play all kinds of New Wave (as opposed to '80s Big Hair Band day). Plenty of good stuff out there and plenty of shop work to be done.

I have rather weird or at least highly eclectic listening tastes hah... I spend a lot of time randomly trying things from new shows on archive.org and have some friends who also have .. odd.. tastes in music so we share stuff back and forth.

Some other bands that are perhaps on the fringes of awareness in certain circles...

• Naxatras -- https://www.youtube.com/@NaxatrasOfficial. Their old self titled album is a favorite, lots of interesting guitar work. I might class this as "music to card scrape by" You might find the guitar work interesting anyway.
• All Them Witches -- their first KEXP show is a show I just love to rewatch every so often
  also check out their live performance at Ancienne Belgique
• I've actually found a ton of great bands from the KEXP shows - they stream on most of the major platforms and have an app as well https://www.kexp.org/mobile/ Just a lot of great music there.
• One of the rabbit holes from KEXP was Zamm Rock which I started with the W.I.T.C.H show
  but ended up at this amazing Amanaz album from the 70's
• The Hu if you're into mongolian throat singing metal,

Reinhardt and Grappelli, pre-war mostly, roots in gypsy jazz. Great sanding music...which needs a rythm guitar. Nuages was often called the anthem of the French resistance. Honeysuckle Rose always gets me jumping.

You mean sand faster ?!
When I was doing a lot of FAUX finishing back in the day Blue Grass was the preferred music. Some of the techniques required very fast movement to stay consistent on large and longer walls like a Great room of foyers.
