Friday 4/26 ! 24 O My

Gotta ask - what's with the purple "X" on the middle finger?

Good to hear the surgery went well!
Hahaha. They use a felt pen to mark your hand and then the finger to be cut. First the check in nurse does it, then the surgical nurse re-marks it and your wrist, then the doctor actually initials your wrist to prove that he checked the for the correct side and finger. I took some alcohol to it and only a shadow of it now remains.

The therapy (which you start immediately after setting up from the table) must be working because I am already typing this with two hands. I go back to have the stitches out in a few days and will find out then how soon I can go full-normal in my use of the hand. Pain was minimal requiring only a bit of ice and Tylenol the first 24 hours or so. At this point it doesn't feel any worse than any other minor cut or knuckle-bang any of us might get during our normal activities in the shop so I'm happy right now.
