Prior to my nephew's Harry Potter themed wedding, he and his bride asked if I would build their wedding arch....a "Deathly Hallows". It's more "project" than woodworking, but I got to cut stuff and assemble stuff, so here it is. Not a lot to it really. She sent me some pictures for ideas and scale. It's nearly 7 feet tall, folds in half for transport, and is back-lit with LEDs. (she vetoed the fiber optics idea!) The main triangle pieces are 1x3-1/2" primed pine, the circle is pressboard.

Hi there! I am in love with this! I have been looking to make one for my wedding this year, I was wondering if you could help me with measurements. Thank you!

It's not here for reference any more, and didn't draw up any plans. I purchased (4) pieces of 1x3-1/2" primed pine. One board got ripped down the middle for the hinged vertical center piece, another got crosscut for the two base pieces at a bit under 3' each, and the other two boards were cut at angles to mate into a triangle. There was very little waste....just minor cut off scraps, some of which were used for the notched feet (which are removable). If I recall, the circle was cut into two arcs from a 2'x4' piece of press board. Total height is about 6' 10". HTH.
