Working on dialing in the engraving settings. Seems to work pretty well, but I need to fine tune the speed and power settings. Managed to burn through 1/8" ply pretty easy.

At 50% power, it does a good job of a pure black char on whatever I'm burning, lol. Now to fine tune some of the overscan and focus settings and what not.

Should get there someday. Really need to figure out how to get the contrast working well between the various shades of grey.

Starting to get somewhere. This image was really dark and was giving me fits trying to get a good engraving.

I decided to fall back to basics and try to process the image before putting it into lightburn. In photo shop I adjusted the colors, set it to gray scale, adjusted the levels and then resized it to exactly the size and dpi I wanted to engrave it at.

That was 100x100mm and 127dpi. Finally, got something that was useable that matched the image I had on screen better.

Looks good, I have had good luck taking images like that and breaking it into layer in lightburn. Then you can control the setting on each layer as for power and speed. Although I must admit I have never tried it with an Image like that.
