I have no direct experience with the stoppers but did look into it at one point as a possible product to sell.
The big issue with wine stoppers that are chrome plated will corrode especially in red wine.
This is a long time problem with plated stoppers. The fix is to use solid stainless steel stoppers, cork or silicone components.
That is the limit of my knowledge on the product.

Wine Bottle Stopper Problem
I have made many wine bottle stoppers - the stainless steel kind. The ones that I keep and have used both got this nasty, almost chemical reaction that caused a hard bumpy substance on the stainless steel stopper. Does anyone know anything about this - how to prevent it - why it is caused...
