I've got a couple more mini-splits to install here. The couple of local HVAC service companies we have won't work on the mini-splits, one even has it on their site to not call them for working on them.
So if I need to get refrigerant or screw up an install I'll have to have the 608 certification to buy refrigerant or work with it on the units. The preparation material is only about $32 and the test at the local supplier is about $25 for the first attempt, $5 each for additional attempts.
I'm just curious if anyone else has taken the test and how difficult it was?
